Square Wars — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the "Square Wars" mobile game ("the App"), developed by devruler, processes and how. The App is a dots-and-boxes game played on one device against a friend or the computer.

1. Summary

• No account is required and we never ask for personal information.
• Your game preferences are stored only on your device; they are never sent to us.
• The App is free and shows Google AdMob ads; Google may process limited device data to serve them.

2. Data the App processes

The App itself does not collect, transmit or share any data that identifies you.

So you don't have to enter them again next time, the following preferences are stored only on your device, in the App's own storage:

• The player names you enter
• Your chosen board size, game mode and computer difficulty
• Your sound and language preferences
• Whether the introduction screens have been shown

This information is never sent to us or to any third party and is removed when the App is uninstalled. If your device's own backup feature (Android backup or iCloud) is on, these preferences may be included in your backup like other app data; we have no access to those backups.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the ad consent choice you make is also stored on your device by Google's consent tool. It is passed to Google with ad requests so that your choice can be respected; we have no access to it.

3. Permissions

• Internet: used only to load ads. The game itself can be played without an internet connection.
• Advertising ID (Android only): the permission the ad SDK needs to read the device's advertising ID; you can reset or delete this ID on Android (see below).
• Tracking (iOS only): iOS requires apps to ask for permission before tracking for advertising. Declining does not affect the game in any way; your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is then not used and the ads you see are less personalized.
• The App does not request device permissions such as location, camera, microphone or contacts.

4. Ads and third-party services

The App shows interstitial (full-screen) ads via Google AdMob. Ads are never shown during a match; at most one ad is shown per session, after a match ends. While serving ads, Google and its advertising partners may process the following kinds of data under their own privacy policies:

• Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / IDFA)
• Device model, operating system version, language, screen information
• IP address and the approximate location derived from it
• Ad impression and click interactions

This data is collected and used under Google's control; we have no access to it. For details:

To limit personalized ads, reset or delete your advertising ID under "Settings › Google › Ads" on Android, or turn off tracking requests under "Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking" on iOS. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you can change or withdraw your ad consent at any time under "Ad privacy settings" on the game's setup screen.

5. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Since the App itself collects no personal data, ad-related preferences can be managed through the device settings described above.

6. Your rights (KVKK / GDPR)

Under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to object to its processing. Because the App contains no personal data processed by us, these rights mostly concern data held by our advertising partner (Google); you can still contact us with any request and we will help direct it.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date will change.
