Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the "Cipher Tools" mobile application ("the App"), developed by devruler, processes and how. By using the App you accept this policy.

1. Summary

• No account is required and we never ask for personal information.
• The texts, keys and passwords you enter are processed only on your device; they are never sent to a server or stored by us.
• The App is free and shows Google AdMob ads; Google may process limited device data to serve them.

2. Data we collect and process

The App itself does not collect, transmit or share any data that identifies you.

• Encryption content: texts, keywords and passwords are kept in device memory only while you work with them. They are discarded when you close the App or clear the field.
• Local preferences: your theme and language choices and your acknowledgement of the notice are stored only on your device.
• QR codes you create: saved to your device's gallery only when you tap "Save". Results you copy go to your device's clipboard.

3. Permissions

• Camera: used only to scan QR codes. The camera image is processed on the device in real time; it is never saved or transmitted.
• Photos / Gallery: used to save the QR codes you create. Your existing photos are not read.
• Internet: needed only to load ads. Encryption works offline.

You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings; only the related feature (e.g. QR scanning) will stop working.

4. Ads and third-party services

The App shows interstitial (full-screen) ads via Google AdMob. While serving ads, Google and its advertising partners may process the following kinds of data under their own privacy policies:

• Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / IDFA)
• Device model, operating system version, language, screen information
• IP address and the approximate location derived from it
• Ad impression and click interactions

This data is collected and used under Google's control; we have no access to it. For details:

To limit personalized ads, reset or delete your advertising ID under "Settings › Google › Ads" on Android, or turn off tracking requests under "Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking" on iOS.

5. Data security and disclaimer

Cipher Tools is an educational and entertainment app and is not designed as a secure communication tool. Classical ciphers are easily broken, and the modern algorithms have not undergone an independent security audit. The confidentiality of content you encrypt with the App is not guaranteed; do not use it for information that truly needs to stay secret. You are responsible for whom you share your QR codes and encrypted texts with.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Since the App itself collects no personal data, ad-related preferences can be managed through the device settings described above.

7. Your rights (KVKK / GDPR)

Under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to object to its processing. Because the App contains no personal data processed by us, these rights mostly concern data held by our advertising partner (Google); you can still contact us with any request and we will help direct it.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the App; the current version is always available on this page and is identified by its "Last updated" date.
